Salmon Arm RCMP catch wanted man crawling through garage door

SALMON ARM, B.C. — A 31-year-old man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested after being caught crawling through the crack of a garage door.
At around 3:00 p.m. on Feb. 8, Salmon Arm RCMP say officers spotted a grey Honda Accord with a passenger who was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.
Once an officer attempted to stop the Accord, RCMP say the man exited the vehicle and ran away. A few minutes later, when officers were at a known home about a block away from the vehicle, RCMP say an officer was at the garage door to arrest the man when he tried to escape.
In a news release issued Friday (Feb. 13), RCMP say Tyler Armstrong remains in custody. Police say they obtained charge approval for failing to comply with order by entering a motor vehicle without the registered owner present.
