100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Residents in the 100 Mile House area will be without emergency room coverage for the tail end of the Family Day long weekend.

Interior Health has announced a 13-hour closure which will be in effect from 7:00 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 16) until 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Patients are being redirected to Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during this time.

This is the third ER closure at the 100 Mile House District General Hospital this year and the first since early January.

As has been the case during past emergency room closures, Interior Health said people should call 9-1-1 if they need emergency care, or HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 if they aren’t sure if they need to head to the emergency room.
