KAMLOOPS — Dick Frogge was a teacher at John Peterson junior high school in Kamloops for 25 years, a quarter-century tenure that began in 1969.
He’s 91 and living in Dallas, widowed and with time on his hands to dig into the past.
With Feb. 14 fast approaching, Frogge reached out to CFJC Today on the off-chance it might be interested in Valentine’s Day cards he unearthed — some of them more than 100 years old.
Most of the collection belonged to his mother, who was 17 in the early 1920s when she began teaching at one-room Grain Belt School northeast of Claresholm, Alta.
