Feb 10, 2026 | 7:37 AM

SALMON ARM, B.C. — A man was arrested after a vehicle that was stolen months prior was spotted in Salmon Arm.

At around 9:40 a.m. on Jan. 31, Salmon Arm RCMP say officers on patrol saw a Honda CR-V that was recognized to be stolen in November 2025, that has since been suspected in other offences across the Okanagan.

In a news release issued Tuesday (Feb. 9), RCMP say the CR-V, with a male driver, sped away from police but another officer spotted it on Okanagan Avenue. The vehicle then turned left onto 29th Street NE where one man and two women jumped out and ran away.

Police say one woman was eventually arrested although the suspect vehicle was no longer there. The man was then spotted running through residential yards near 23rd Street SE, where an officer then chased him down and arrested him.
