Drake has lost $1 million after betting on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. The rapper shared his wager on Instagram on Saturday (Feb. 7), alongside the caption “Bet against me if you dare.” The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Patriots 29-13 on Sunday, costing Drake his entire $1 million wager. A winning bet would have earned him more than $2.9 million. The loss was recorded on TheDrakeCurse.com, which tracks his betting history. The site claims Drake has wagered $46.9 million across a series of 84 bets, winning 30 and losing 54. In NFL betting specifically, he has placed 20 bets and profited over $680,000 despite losing a total of 14 wagers. Last year, Drake addressed the “Drake Curse” phenomenon, saying “I feel like I don’t play sports” and “for whatever reason, my slips do not cash out.” Longtime Boston sports fan Mark Wahlberg supported Drake’s Super Bowl bet, commenting “SMART MAN❤🙌” on the Instagram post.
