Montreal Alouettes sign American quarterback Anthony Brown Jr.

The six-foot-one, 217-pound quarterback played three seasons at the University of Oregon and was the Ducks’ starter for all 14 games in 2021, leading the Pac-12 Conference with 2,989 passing yards.

The Alouettes also inked quarterback Dresser Winn and linebacker Donovan Manuel on Monday.

Both Americans join Montreal on two-year contracts.

Winn returns to the CFL where he spent 2023 with the Edmonton Elks.

The 27-year-old joined the Los Angeles Rams for two seasons before playing 2025 with the Memphis Showboats in the UFL.

Manuel comes to the Als after time with the Minnesota Vikings.

The 26-year-old previously spent two seasons playing for Florida International University where he recorded a team-leading 121 tackles in his final season.

Argos sign Americans Rucker and Davis

TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts have added a pair of Americans, signing defensive back Trey Rucker and receiver Solomon Davis on Monday.

The six-foot, 203-pound Rucker comes to Toronto after spending the 2025 campaign with the Washington Commanders.

He played four seasons for Oklahoma State from 2021 through 2024, racking up 197 tackles, four interceptions, seven pass deflections, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble over 39 games.

Davis, who hails from Tennessee, played 12 games at Central Michigan in 2024 and tallied 350 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 19 passes.
