A$AP Rocky visited a Harlem elementary school to teach fourth-grade students rap fundamentals during Wednesday’s (Feb. 4) episode of Celebrity Substitute. Students questioned the rapper about his age, bullying experiences, and if he’s married to Rihanna before participating in Rap 101 lessons. Rocky told the class, “[Rap] means everything. Rap is my life. I was actually just like you guys. I grew up not too far and that’s where I learned to rap.” The artist constructed a professional recording studio inside the school where students recorded verses over his “Punk Rocky” beat from his new album, Don’t Be Dumb. Rocky also directed a music video called “IDK” featuring the children, who rapped “Welcome to Harlem/ This is where I live/ There’s no other place as unique as this.” Don’t Be Dumb debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart in January, with Rocky set to kick off his 42-date world tour on May 27 in Chicago.
