Nancy Meyers will direct her first film in 11 years as Warner Bros moves forward with her untitled feature starring Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Emma Mackey and Owen Wilson. The studio set a Christmas Day 2027 theatrical release. Netflix previously dropped the film in 2023 when costs reached $130-150 million. Warner Bros significantly reduced the budget to make production viable. The plot remains undisclosed. Meyers last directed The Intern starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro in 2015. The filmmaker’s previous works including What Women Want, Something’s Gotta Give, and The Holiday have earned over $1 billion worldwide.
