On Wednesday (Jan. 28), Noah Kahan revealed that his fourth studio album, The Great Divide, will be released on April 24. This project serves as the long-awaited follow-up to his acclaimed 2022 record, Stick Season, which earned him a Best New Artist Grammy nomination in 2024. Kahan wrote and recorded the album across multiple locations including Nashville, Guilford, Vermont, upstate New York, and on a farm in Only, Tennessee. “The songs are the words I would say if I could. They are the fears I dance with in the moments before I drift off to sleep,” Kahan shared on Instagram. The title track drops Friday (Jan. 30), after getting a live debut at Fenway Park in 2024. “The music here is my best attempt to delve deeper into the people, places, and feelings that have made me who I am,” Kahan continued, while adding, “I am grateful for all of it, for all of you, for listening to them, if you choose to do so.” (Rolling Stone)
