Mattel announced a comprehensive relaunch of Thomas & Friends featuring a redesigned Thomas The Tank Engine for today’s preschool audiences. The beloved character, who debuted in British children’s books in 1945, became a global phenomenon through the 1984 UK television series originally narrated by Ringo Starr. Notable voices including Pierce Brosnan, George Carlin, and Alec Baldwin contributed during the show’s multi-decade run across live-action, CGI, and most recently 2D animated formats.
