KAMLOOPS — Bookworms at the North Kamloops Library won’t indulge in the building’s usual quiet atmosphere for several months.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional Library (TNRL) says interior renovations will begin at the North Kamloops Library building on 693 Tranquille Rd. on Monday, Feb. 2.

In a news release issued Wednesday (Jan. 28), the TNRL says renovations will include new carpeting and paint, an information desk and a new floor plan that will lead to a larger children’s area and a separated teenagers’ area.

While the North Kamloops Library’s hours of operation won’t be impacted amid the renovations, the TNRL says certain areas of the library will be temporarily unavailable. Additionally, the TNRL alerts residents that there may be more noise than usual at times.
