Alex Honnold’s Skyscraper Live reached 6.2 million Netflix views after his free solo climb of Taipei 101 tower in Taiwan. The stream ranked third on Netflix’s English-language TV Top 10 for January 19-25, despite having only one day to accumulate viewership due to weather postponement. Originally scheduled for Friday, January 23, the climb moved to Saturday night because of bad weather conditions. Honnold told Variety that weather delays didn’t stress him, explaining “climbing is always at the mercy of nature,” but coordinating crew flights and hotels created pressure. His & Hers topped the weekly rankings with 17.2 million views, followed by Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials at 8.7 million. On the film chart, The Rip starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon maintained the number one position with 40.4 million views. (Story URL)
