In a BBC Radio 1 interview on Friday (Jan. 23), the 31-year-old pop superstar said he was getting a haircut in Rome when people began shouting “Habemus papam” and running through the streets. “So the guy cutting my hair, stopped cutting my hair, and he was like, ‘Habemus papam. There’s a new pope. There’s a new pope,’” Styles explained. “So then we finished up, and then I was like, ‘Oh, I’m like, five minutes’ walk [from there]’, so I walked over there.” Styles also discussed his upcoming fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, set for a March 6 release. He told John Mayer the placement of the punctuation is crucial, saying “It’s a very important comma.” The project’s lead single, “Aperture,” was released Thursday night along with an Aube Perrie-directed music video, which coincided with Styles ‘Together, Together’ world tour announcement.
