Harper Mountain to reopen ski area Saturday
KAMLOOPS — Skiers will be welcome back at Harper Mountain this weekend after a brief hiatus.
The Kamloops-area ski resort announced that the chairlift will be back running Saturday (Jan. 24) after an 11-day closure due to a lack of snowfall. Harper Mountain already had a delayed start to its skiing season on Dec. 27, nearly two weeks later than initially planned.
In a post to social media Friday (Jan. 23), Harper Mountain says the handle tow and T-bar will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. starting Saturday, while the chairlift will have a half-day on Saturday starting at 12:30 p.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. start Sunday.
The ski resort adds night skiing will start Thursday (Jan. 29).
