Prince Harry became visibly emotional Wednesday as he finished testifying in his latest High Court case against Associated Newspapers Limited, publisher of the Daily Mail. The 41-year-old Duke of Sussex told the judge that tabloids have made his wife Meghan Markle’s life “an absolute misery.” “By standing up here and taking a stand against them, this has continued to come after me,” Harry said with a cracked voice. “They have made my wife’s life an absolute misery, my Lord.” He added that “through the course of this litigation, it’s only got worse, not better” and called for “an apology and some accountability.” Harry joins six other high-profile figures including Elton John, David Furness, and Elizabeth Hurley in accusing Associated Newspapers of illegal information gathering through voicemail interception and phone tapping. The publisher denies wrongdoing. The nine-week trial continues in London.
