Teenage midfielder Alessandro Biello looks forward to fresh start with FC Supra
Expansion FC Supra opened its training camp Wednesday with a familiar name among its all-Quebecois roster.
The fledgling Canadian Premier League team has signed 19-year-old midfielder Alessandro Biello, son of Canadian assistant coach Mauro Biello, to a two-year contract with a club option for 2028.
Mauro Biello, a former Canadian international, began his playing career with the Montreal Supra of the now-defunct Canadian Soccer League before going on to play for and coach the Montreal Impact, now CF Montreal, which eventually retired his number.
Alessandro Biello’s signing brings the Supra roster to 17 players, not including CPL-U Sports draft picks Calin Calaidjoglu and Alexandre Marcoux.
