Prince Harry’s final scheduled court battle against British tabloids started on Monday in London. The 41-year-old prince appeared in person and will testify Thursday as the first witness. He joins celebrities including Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley in suing Associated Newspapers Ltd., owner of the Daily Mail. The lawsuit alleges “clear, systematic and sustained use of unlawful information gathering” spanning several years. Harry stated it was “disturbing to feel that my every move, thought or feeling was being tracked and monitored just for the Mail to make money out of it.” Associated Newspapers denies all claims, calling Harry’s case “in reality little more than guesswork” involving “jumping to conclusions based on insufficient evidence.” Harry previously won against the Daily Mirror in 2023 and settled with The Sun in January 2025, receiving a “substantial” payment plus public apology.
