Nemec scores in OT as Devils douse Flames 2-1
CALGARY — Simon Nemec scored at 1:18 of overtime to give the New Jersey Devils a 2-1 NHL victory over the Calgary Flames on Monday night.
Dawson Mercer also scored for New Jersey (22-23-4), which has won three of its last four games.
Nazem Kadri scored for Calgary (21-23-5), which had a two-game win streak halted. Rookie Matvei Gridin picked up his first NHL assist.
Jacob Markstrom had 21 saves to improve to 13-11-1. Devin Cooley, who had 29 stops, fell to 6-4-3.
