COLLINS: Will Trump survive to 2028?

SO MANY THEORIES. So many conspiracies. And now that the U.S. midterms are less than a year away, the question on many minds is, “Will there be a chance for Trump to salvage the mid-terms?” And my response is, “Anything is possible.”
Despite all the harebrained schemes, the threats, accusations, the pontification, the stupid hats he wears, the falsehoods he would have you believe, the statements he pulls out of thin air — most of which are lies — the character assassination, the possible crimes against humanity over his attacks on immigrants, his threats about annexing countries like Greenland and Iceland, the tariffs that he institutes and withdraws at will, surely we wouldn’t give this bozo additional power.
And yet it was pointed out this week on the U.S. program The Daily Beast, many Americans are comfortable with Trump’s cozy way of seeming to be just one of the boys. They are totally blind to his real motives — money and power.
Economics experts are suggesting it will be decades at least before the economy gets back on track. Make America great again? If you follow that dream, you will be waiting a long, long time.
