A$AP Rocky’s Mother Predicted His Relationship With Rihanna Years Before Romance Began

A$AP Rocky has revealed that his mother Renee encouraged him to pursue Rihanna years before their romantic relationship started. In a New York Times Popcast clip posted on Wednesday (Jan. 14), Rocky shared how his mom would repeatedly say, “I know you like this girl that you with right now but I want you with RiRi.” Rocky recalled responding “Ma, why you keep saying that? That girl don’t even want me like that. But we cool, Mom. That’s just my friend, chill.” His mother would insist by saying, “I’m telling you, she’s real,” and Rocky now acknowledges that she was right all along. “Mothers know best,” he admitted. The couple has been together for over five years and shares three children: 3-year-old RZA, 2-year-old Riot Rose, and daughter Rocki born in September. Rocky’s new album, Don’t Be Dumb, drops on Friday (Jan. 15)
