‘Sinners’ Tops 2026 NAACP Image Awards With 18 Nominations

Sinners leads the 2026 NAACP Image Awards with 18 nominations, including outstanding motion picture and acting nods for Michael B. Jordan, Delroy Lindo, Miles Caton, Jayme Lawson and Wunmi Mosaku. Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest follows with nine nominations, earning outstanding motion picture recognition and acting nominations for Denzel Washington, A$AP Rocky and Jeffrey Wright. Television series Bel-Air received seven nominations in its final season, while Abbott Elementary, Reasonable Doubt and Ruth & Boaz each earned six. Netflix leads studios with 47 total nominations. Teyana Taylor and Kendrick Lamar tie for most individual nominations with six each, both competing for Entertainer of the Year alongside Cynthia Erivo, Doechii and Michael B. Jordan. Comedian Deon Cole will host the ceremony February 28th, airing live on BET.
