Timothy Busfield faces arrest warrant on child sexual abuse charges

An arrest warrant was issued Friday for actor and director Timothy Busfield on two counts of sexual abuse involving a minor in New Mexico. The charges stem from allegations involving twin boy actors from The Cleaning Lady TV series, which Busfield directed six episodes of from 2022 to 2025. One child told investigators Busfield touched his “private areas” when he was seven and eight years old on set, saying he was “very afraid of Tim and was relieved when he was off set.” In a November phone interview with police, Busfield said “it was highly likely” he would have picked up and tickled the boys, but later stated “I don’t remember those boys.” Warner Bros. confirmed they are cooperating with authorities and conducted their own investigation in 2025 after receiving an anonymous complaint through SAG-AFTRA about a separate incident.
