Former Blazers Fora, Balcers to play at 2026 Winter Olympics
KAMLOOPS — A pair of former Kamloops Blazers are set to lace their skates and compete at next month’s Olympic Games in Italy.
Michael Fora is one of eight people tasked with patrolling the blueline for Switzerland while Rudolfs Balcers is one of 14 forwards who will play for Latvia at the men’s Olympic tournament which runs Feb. 11 to 22 in Milan.

Fora was with the Blazers for the 2014-15 WHL season, and he finished with six goals and 32 points in 60 games. With the exception of one American Hockey League game in 2018-19, Fora has spent the rest of career in his native Switzerland.
