Bruno Mars will release his fourth solo album, The Romantic, on February 27, marking his first solo project in a decade since 2016’s 24K Magic. The artist revealed the album title, release date, and cover art on social media on Wednesday (January 7), also announcing that new music is dropping on Friday (Jan. 9). Mars confirmed the album’s completion just days earlier, posting on X: “My album is done.” His last solo effort, 24K Magic, earned seven Grammys in 2018, including Album of the Year, while the project’s hit singles, “24K Magic” and “That’s What I Like,” won Record and Song of the Year, respectively. Between solo projects, Mars partnered with Anderson .Paak on 2021’s An Evening With Silk Sonic. Recent collaborations include “Die With a Smile” with Lady Gaga, which won a Grammy at the 2025 awards, and “APT” with Blackpink’s Rosé, which earned three nominations including Record and Song of the Year at next month’s ceremony.
