Kamloops real estate market ends 2025 on a high note

KAMLOOPS — The local real estate industry association says the Kamloops market finished 2025 strong, in what is typically a quieter month.

The latest monthly recap from the Association of Interior Realtors (AIR) shows 137 residential unit sales in December, down from November but about 4 per cent more than December of 2024.

One-hundred-sixty-five new listings came on the market — once again, down from November but representing a 9 per cent jump from the last month in 2024.

AIR President Kadin Rainville says the market’s performance last month is in line with the 10-year average for Kamloops.

“Despite navigating a year of economic shifts, policy changes, and evolving buyer and seller behavior, the residential real estate market wrapped up the year on steady ground,” said Rainville in a news release. “[A]ctivity finishing within the 10-year average range reflects a market that has largely recalibrated and normalized, setting a positive and stable foundation as we move into 2026.”
