Emergency department in 100 Mile House to temporarily close for second time in 2026
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — For the second time in 2026, the emergency department in 100 Mile House will be temporarily closed.
In a news release, Interior Health says emergency services at 100 Mile House District General Hospital will be unavailable from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday (Jan. 5).
Residents in 100 Mile House and area in need of emergency medical care are being rerouted to Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during the 13-hour temporary closure.
The 100 Mile House emergency department was previously closed for 13 hours on Friday (Jan. 2), instead of 25 hours as first expected after Interior Health secured physician coverage for the evening.
