Counterfeit $100 bills circulating in Salmon Arm
SALMON ARM, B.C. — RCMP in Salmon Arm are urging business owners, employees and shoppers to keep an eye out for counterfeit $100 bills.
Police say there have been three recent reports of imitation $100 bills being used in Salmon Arm: two to make purchases at local businesses and a third at a local bank.
RCMP say one possible female suspect has been identified, although a photo and description were not provided in a news release issued Monday (Jan. 5).
Business owners are encouraged to ensure their staff know how to check for security features on cash and use detection tools such as counterfeit detections pens and UV light scanners.
