COLLINS: Some resolutions are amusing; others aren’t so much

Jan 1, 2026 | 6:30 AM

MANY OF US HAVE MADE new year’s resolutions at some point. Usually, we do so with a laugh, often including a touch of humour. Common resolutions might include losing weight, exercising more or eating healthier.

I especially sympathize with those who genuinely need to stick to their resolutions to become healthier. I know people who have so many problems they don’t know what to fix first — the knees, the shoulder, the hip, the neck. And if you want to dig any deeper, you can probably find any number of internal ailments waiting to raise their ugly heads.

So have your fun today making silly resolutions, but save some space to encourage those who really need that extra push.

I’m Doug Collins and that’s One Man’s Opinion.
