Free, extended bus service coming on New Year’s Eve in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Buses in Kamloops will once again be free after 6:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve in an effort to help people ring in the new year safely.
BC Transit will be operating a regular weekday service during the day next Wednesday (Dec. 31) and collecting fares as usual. It will also run an extended late-night service, with some buses running as late as 2:00 a.m., Jan. 1.
Buses in Kamloops will also be operating on a Sunday schedule on New Years’ Day Thursday before returning to normal schedules on Friday and beyond.
