Staff curated Who-ville display dazzles residents of Kamloops Seniors Village
KAMLOOPS — It’s Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), and the festive spirit is strong over at Kamloops Seniors Village (KSV). Staff on the second floor of the assisted living side have curated a Who-ville display for residents, inspired by the classic Dr. Seuss story The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Staff decided to set it all up in hopes of bringing some Christmas cheer to residents and visitors, and they pulled it off in a big way.
When you get off the elevators on the second floor of KSV, it looks more like Who-ville than the regular foyer and hallways. Asked why her and other care aides on the floor decided to decorate, healthcare assistant Amanda Zieger says it was all for the residents.
“It’s seeing the residents’ faces as they come off and go ‘wow!’, even the families. They’re like, ‘oh wow’!,” she describes.
