EXTREME WEATHER RESPONSE
CMHA Kamloops activating extreme weather beds

KAMLOOPS — The Canadian Mental Health Association is activating their extreme weather response beds in Kamloops as temperatures drop ahead of Christmas. This will be the second activation of the season for CMHA, with beds expanding at three locations.
Additional beds will be made available at Emerald Centre, Rosethorn House and Merit Place Shelter for the duration of the alert.
According to the notice issued by CMHA, this weather response was triggered with temperatures forecast to drop below -5C.
