Salvation Army Christmas Hampers filled by generous Kamloops Honda employees, customers
KAMLOOPS – It’s Year 33 for the Salvation Army’s Christmas Hampers. Kamloops Honda, along with other community partners work to make sure the hampers are full for the holidays.
“Every year, the need seems to be going up, so we like to help where we can. If we can put a little bit more in the cart, that just goes a long way for each family, each member,” said Major Orest Goyak of the Kamloops Salvation Army.
Christmas Hampers is a charity that has a special place in the hearts of many of Kamloops Honda’s employees.
“This is a charity that’s very, very precious to everybody here because the employees of Kamloops Honda pay for all of this — and not just pay for it. They put all the time and effort into building the hampers. They make sure people who need to get fed are by donating part of their paycheque,” said Jon Kaban, general manager at Kamloops Honda.
