CSRD opens taps on new Scotch Creek water system
SCOTCH CREEK, B.C. — Officials in the North Shuswap are celebrating the completion of a public works project seven years in the making.
The $4.1-million Scotch Creek Water System expansion was offically opened earlier this fall, adding properties formerly served by the Captain’s Village water system.
According to the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), the project included the construction of a water treatment plant and a trunk main. It also saw upgrades to a water intake.
The new treatment plant now serves 84 properties.
