Storm’s Brenner Fyfe named KIJHL goaltender of the month
KAMLOOPS — Brenner Fyfe‘s perfect month has won him the KIJHL’s Goaltender of the Month award for November.
The 19-year-old Fyfe won all seven of his starts as the Kamloops Storm went a perfect 10-0 in November. Fyfe stopped 213 of 227 shots he faced, and finished with a 2.00 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage last month.
Fyfe made over 30 saves on four occasions last month. He had 40 saves in 6-2 win over Quesnel on Nov. 1, 34 saves in a 4-2 win over Sicamous on Nov. 8, 35 saves in a 4-1 win over Castlegar on Nov. 21, and 36 saves in a 3-1 win against 100 Mile House on Nov. 29.
The Lethbridge native boasts a 14-3 record this season, which has him tied for the league lead in wins. His .924 save percentage is currently third-best, while his 2.59 goals-against average is fourth best across the KIJHL.
