Tkemlúps te Secwépemc, RCMP sign agreement to focus on five priority areas
KAMLOOPS — Tkemlúps te Secwépemc (TteS) has a signed a letter of expectations (LOE) with the Tkemlúps Rural RCMP Detachment as it works on a plan to address five priority areas, one which is mental health and substance use.
The band announced the agreement in a post on its website, which said the other priority areas include youth, elders, community relations and visibility, as well as traffic and bylaw enforcement/education.
“TteS would like to acknowledge CPL Darwin Robbins for his ongoing leadership and support in assessing the past LOE, making recommendations to the various focus areas and getting the document to the finish line,” Tkwenem7íple7 (Councillor) Vicki Manuel said.
“In addition, I would like to thank Supt. Jeff Pelley, Sgt. Del Bryron and Sgt. Darren Durnin for their participation and input.”
