Extreme Weather Alert issued for Kamloops shelters with chilly, breezy night ahead
KAMLOOPS — A chilly overnight forecast has prompted an Extreme Weather Alert (EWA) to be issued for Kamloops Friday (Nov. 28).
Under provincial legislation, such an alert can be issued when the temperature is forecast to drop to -5 C or colder including wind chill or five centimetres of snow or more is predicted to fall.
While Environment Canada is forecasting an overnight low of -3 C for Kamloops, the gusty wind may push that lower with wind chill factored in.
