KAMLOOPS — Police in Kamloops are asking for help in locating a missing 57-year-old woman, who hasn’t been seen since Wednesday (Nov. 26) morning.

Sheri-Lynn Bissonnette was last seen leaving her house in Aberdeen around 9:30 a.m., and according to her family, she was bound for Batchelor Heights in her blue 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with BC plate SJ5370.

“From what we know, basically she left home around 9:30 Wednesday morning, said that she was going to my brother’s house in Bachelor Heights and then took the truck, took her purse, and then that was the last anyone had heard or seen her,” Sheri-Lynn’s son, Trevor Purpur told CFJC.

Police say Bissonnette’s family contacted the Kamloops RCMP when she did not return home on Wednesday evening.

“We are very concerned about Sheri-Lynn’s wellbeing as this is totally out of character for her,” BC RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Brett Urano said.

“[Sheri-Lynn] is normally at home every evening and day. She always tells people generally where she is going or what is going on but in this case, it just wasn’t the case. She is yet to return home.”

Bissonnette stands approximately five-foot-five and weighs around 160 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing jeans a lightweight black puffy jacket and a baseball hat.

Purpur also took to social media to say the family has been unable to locate the Chevrolet truck as the OnStar technology in the vehicle is outdated. He’s also hoping that people keep an eye out for his mother and her truck.

“She left her phone beside her bed and we didn’t realize it until late Wednesday night because she always has it and takes her phone everywhere,” Purpur added. “She’s not one to not respond to you and not return calls. So it’s very out of the ordinary.”

Added Urano, “if you happen to come across a truck just parked on a road somewhere that matches the description of Sheri-Lynn’s truck, we ask that you call the Kamloops RCMP immediately.”

People with information about Bissonnette’s whereabouts as asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file # 2025-39325.
