Monday B-train crash near Lytton killed Surrey man: BC Highway Patrol
LYTTON, B.C. — Police say a crash between two B-train semi trucks near Lytton Monday (Nov. 24) killed a Surrey man.
The collision took place just before 9:00 a.m. Monday on the Tank Hill Bridge along the Trans Canada Highway and closed the highway for most of the day.
According to BC Highway Patrol (BCHP), a blue northbound Kenworth towing two empty flat-deck trailers collided with a green southbound Volvo towing two enclosed trailers.
The driver of the Volvo, a 49-year-old man from Surrey, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Kenworth, a 38-year-old man from Chilliwack, was taken to hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
