REGINA, SK — The TRU WolfPack women’s volleyball team will be coming back from Saskatchewan with a pair of wins.

The WolfPack beat the Regina Cougars 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-21) in Saturday’s (Nov. 15) rematch in the Queen City. TRU won Friday’s game three sets to one.

Keira Gent led the way for TRU with 15 kills and a trio of service aces. Rida Erlalelitepe added 12 kills on 26 attacks while Myah Cressy contributed six on just ten swings.

Libby Meldrum also had 33 assists with Olivia Andulajevic added ten digs.

“Two wins on the road is always good thing. I didn’t think we executed poorly tonight but we looked just a little tired and struggled to get to the finish line,” head coach Chad Grimm said.

“I don’t think this is ever an easy time of year, it’s a lot of weekends playing in a row and then add in travel. So credit to them for hanging in there and getting the job done against a scrappy Regina team.”

The WolfPack, who have won six in a row over the Cougars, are now 6-2 this season, which has them second in Canada West.

They’re back on the road next weekend to play the 3-5 UBC Okanagan Heat in Kelowna. The WolfPack men, who had this weekend off, are also in Kelowna next weekend.
