KAMLOOPS β€” A one-block section of Fourth Avenue will be off limits to all vehicles for a little over a week this month as BC Hydro completes utility work in downtown Kamloops.

In a post on social media, the City of Kamloops said BC Hydro will be completing tie-in work on Fourth Avenue between Battle Street and Nicola Street. It noted this work is related to the City Gardens development, which has been under construction since 2022.

There will be a single lane of alternating traffic at the southwest corner of Battle Street and Fourth Avenue on Friday (Nov. 7) and again on Sunday and Monday (Nov. 9 and 10).

The city also says there will be a full closure on Fourth Avenue from Battle Street to Nicola Street between Nov. 12 and Nov. 20 so excavation and BC Hydro utility work can take place.
