Kamloops residential sales slowed in October: association

KAMLOOPS — As the weather cooled in October, so did real estate activity in the Kamloops area.

October numbers distributed by the Association of Interior Realtors (AIR) Wednesday (Nov. 5) show 191 residential sales last month. That’s down from 222 in September and down more than 10 per cent from October 2024.

While 385 new listings were recorded — up 16 per cent from last October — that total was down from 440 new listings in September.

“While sales in the Kamloops and District region eased in line with seasonal expectations, it’s encouraging to see an increase in new listings,” said AIR President Kadin Rainville. “This is a market that often faces challenges building inventory, so having more options available is a welcome change for buyers.”
