KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say two men were arrested and a number of weapons were seized after the owner of two stolen snowmobiles tipped police to their location.

In a news release, RCMP say they owner of the stolen snowmobiles called police around 7:00 p.m. last Thursday (Oct. 30), and directed officers to an address in the 900-block of Columbia Street West.

Police say while two suspects at that location fled immediately, they were arrested after a brief foot chase.

They also note officers seized three handguns, a sawed-off shotgun, smoke grenade and smoke bomb, cell phone jammer, hard body armour, suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with cash and a variety of ammunition.

A truck that was reported stolen from Enderby was also recovered by police, they add.

“The combination of the items seized from the recovered stolen vehicle posed a threat not only to the community but also responding officers,” said Kamloops RCMP Supt. Jeff Pelley.

“This seizure will have an impact and disrupt criminals here and other neighbouring jurisdictions.”

Police say people with information about this seizure should reach out to the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2025-36336.
