Semi-truck rollover closes Highway 5A north of Merritt

UPDATE (6:30 a.m. ): The roadway has been cleared.

EARLIER: MERRITT, B.C. — Highway 5A is closed in both directions on the north end of Nicola Lake Wednesday (Oct. 29) morning.

DriveBC first reported of a vehicle incident on Highway 5A north of Nicola River Road, nearly 25 kilometres north of Merritt, shortly after 1:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Photos posted to social media show a semi-truck rolled over on the stretch of Highway 5A with its load spread along the roadway.
