Transportation, class plans in place for displaced Westmount Elementary students

KAMLOOPS — School District 73 representatives held a news conference on Tuesday (Oct. 28) afternoon to address the closure of Westmount Elementary School, which was damaged in a fire early Sunday morning.
There is no update on the timeline for its reopening, but plans have been finalized for the dispersal of Westmount students among three schools.
Classrooms have been made available at Kay Bingham, George Hilliard and Parkcrest Elementary schools.
And, as CFJC Today reports, plans for bus transportation for students will be relayed to parents by Tuesday evening.
