Lufo earns Canada West All-Star nod; two WolfPack women’s soccer players named to All-Rookie team
KAMLOOPS — A trio of Thompson Rivers University (TRU) WolfPack women’s soccer players have earned year-end honours from Canada West in 2025.
Third-year forward Esi Lufo was named a Pacific Division All-Star following a record-setting season with the WolfPack while midfielder Sara Kuusimaki and goalkeeper Floor Ursem were named to the Canada West All-Rookie team.
Lufo tied for the Canada West scoring lead with nine goals in 14 matches. She also added two assists and is the new holder of the WolfPack season record for goals and points.
Lufo’s nine goals eclipsed Chantal Gammie’s record of seven set in 2018/19 while her 11 points moved her past Danielle Fauteux’s old record of nine points (five goals, four assists) set in 2015/16.
