Snowfall warning issued for Coquihalla between Hope and Merritt
MERRITT — (UPDATE Oct. 26, 7:15 a.m.): The snowfall warning has been lifted.
ORIGINAL — Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Hope to Merritt section of the Coquihalla highway.
The weather agency says there could be between 15 and 20 centimetres of moderate to heavy snow near the Coquihalla Summit starting later Saturday (Oct. 25) evening until about midday Sunday.
“A Pacific low pressure system will move across the southern interior tonight,” Environment Canada said in the weather warning.
