City of Merritt searching for new CAO

MERRITT, B.C. — The City of Merritt is once again searching for a chief administrative officer (CAO) following the recent departure of Cynthia White after two years on the job.

Merritt Mayor Mike Goetz confirmed to Q101 Merritt that White has moved on and they “are looking for a replacement.”

White moved into the CAO role in 2023, replacing the departing Sean Smith.

Rick Green, the City of Merritt’s director of public works and engineering services, will serve as acting CAO until the position is filled.
