Kamloops MLA Stamer backs Rustad as leader; wants party to focus on bringing legislation to the table
VICTORIA – On October 22, the executive of the BC Conservative Party put out a letter calling on leader John Rustad to resign immediately. This follows recent departures of two MLAs. The party has lost a total of five MLAs since last year’s election.
Kamloops-North Thompson MLA Ward Stamer has come out in support of party leader Rustad.
“I have full confidence in Leader Rustad. I always have and I certainly have it now. Unfortunately, there was a letter from the party that was circulated, not only to the media, but to everybody else. That’s not my focus. My focus is on doing what we can in caucus — bringing forth meaningful legislation,” said Stamer.
