Blazers drop 3-2 shootout decision in Swift Current, finish eastern swing 2-3-0-1

SWIFT CURRENT, SASK. — The Kamloops Blazers are ready for some home cooking after a tough eastern road trip.

Kamloops took the Swift Current Broncos to a shootout Saturday night (Oct. 18) in Saskatchewan, with Broncos forward Noah Kosick getting the only goal to lift his team to a 3-2 victory.

Josh Evaschesen and Tommy Lafreniere lit the lamp for the Blazers, who got 33 saves from Logan Edmonstone.

Newly-acquired defenceman Carson Olsen made his Blazers debut, registering a +1 and taking a roughing minor. Olsen wore sweater #21.

Kamloops went 2-3-0-1 on the road swing. The Blazers return home to host the Medicine Hat Tigers Friday (Oct. 24) at Sandman Centre.
