WolfPack men’s volleyball team begin season with tight road loss to Mount Royal University

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers University (TRU) WolfPack men’s volleyball team started their season on the wrong foot Friday (Oct. 17) in Calgary.
In a game where three of four sets went to extra points, TRU fell to the Mount Royal University (MRU) Cougars 3-1 (26-28, 27-25, 25-15, 26-24).
Jakob Leinemann and Parker Bailey both set new career-highs with the WolfPack with 15 and 13 kills respectively Friday.
“We struggled from the service line which was unfortunate… We played some great volleyball at times but could not put enough pressure on MRU from the service line. Overall, a good first match on the road,” Pat Hennelly, WolfPack men’s volleyball team head coach says.”
